  Barley Mow Bridge (14K)

This bridge, just over a mile from Blacksmith's Bridge, is another of the surviving single arch red-brick structures built c1792.

Strengthening in the form of four steel ties secured with circular patttress plates has been carried out in the past.

In 1976 the canal was temporarily drained below the bridge so that brickwork below the water level could be repaired.

The canal meanders gently until the next red-brick bridge, Stacey's Bridge, is reached, just over half a mile away.
