During the 1921 rebuild, the bed of the canal was re-inforced by a timber layer to help stabilise the ground.

| | | Swan Bridge, just over half a mile from Lodge Copse Bridge, is a single arch red-brick structure rebuilt in 1921 in English bond. Due to a landslip it totally replaced the original bridge built when the canal was dug in the 18th century.

| The bridge carries the minor road B3349 from the A287 to North Warnborough.

| | | Just near the bridge is the Swan public house.

| Beyond the bridge the canal narrows for a few yards until, rounding a bend, the North Warnborough Lift Bridge is reached. It is about a quarter of a mile between the bridges.
