A Virtual TOUR of the CANAL
If it is possible, it is intended to add pages on the Surrey bridges and canal tour. This should then provide a complete tour of the whole canal.

Meanwhile, pages at the western end of the Hampshire section will be added until this section is complete.

Recently issued are the pages on all the bridges in Hampshire up to the Greywell Tunnel. Then will follow those beyond the tunnel, and on to Basingstoke, where the canal originally ended.

Introduction
This section was envisaged originally as an illustrated list and description of the bridges which exist, or have existed, along the Basingstoke Canal.
By extending this idea to include items of interest along the canal, the project is developing into an illustrated "virtual" tour of the canal.
As the year 2004 drew towards its close, and as mentioned in the "box" above, all the pages of a virtual journey up the canal from the Surrey/Hampshire border (starting at the Blackwater Valley aqueduct) up to the Greywell Tunnel, are now online.
When all pages are completed, the tour will start at the mouth of the Basingstoke Canal at Woodham in Surrey, continuing all the way to its original terminus in Basingstoke.
Now start the tour, of the Hampshire section, beginning at the County boundary, having just crossed the aqueduct at the border with Surrey, travelling westwards towards Aldershot Railway Bridge ---
